Meet The Team

Meet the members behind the Malcolm X restoration project

Dr. Tareq A. Ramadan is an interdisciplinary professor of Anthropology and Near Eastern Studies at Wayne State University in Detroit, where he regularly teaches courses in Middle Eastern, Arab and Islamic history, society, politics, and culture. 
               Tareq also teaches similar courses at Henry Ford College in Dearborn. Tareq currently serves as the Project Manager for the Malcolm X Home Restoration and Preservation program
               at Project We Hope Dream and Believe.

Dawon Lynn is a native of Inkster, Michigan. A survivor of 7 gunshot wounds as a teen, he strives for change to be welcomed head on to readjust the mindset of his community, and has dedicated himself as mentor to the youth. He serves as a board member of the Nonprofit Organization based in the city of Inkster ( P.W.H.D.B ) Project We hope Dream & Believe. Dawon is also a community activist, musician and Muslim. He’s a strong supporter for the rehabilitation of the youth in the community.

Chaka Wilson is a web developer who grew up in Inkster, Michigan. As a person who is passionate about helping out in her community, she jumped at the chance to be part of Project We Hope Dream and Believe. Chaka serves as the web developer and editor for the Malcolm X Restoration Program.
